Why is geometrical isomerism not possible intetrahedral complexes having different types of unidentateligands coordinated with the central metal ion ?

Answer»

Answer:

Tetrahedral complexes do not show geometrical isomerism because the relative positions of the unidentate LIGANDS ATTACHED to the central METAL ATOM are the some with respect to each other. Coordination number of a metal ion is also equal to the total number of coordinate bonds present in a complex.
