Why is aluminium used to make railway track

Answer» What is thermite reaction
Aluminium is used to join railway track as it used to displace iron. The heat generated from the reaction melts the iron and use it as welding. Fe2O3 + 2Al ---> 2Fe + Al2o3
Maybe because alluminium is malleable and light yet strong
Due to thrmite reaction
