The formula of ETHANE is C2H6. Where C-C(1 COVALENT bond)  and C-H( 6 covalent bonds ) and covalent bonds re formed between two non-metallic elements. If we draw the structure of ethane we ll find that they re SHARING ELECTRON and there re seven cobalent bonds.
