Why Does Twinkling of stars happens ? |

Answer» As per my study at school it doesn\'t twinkle it seems to be twinkle because of the mediums present between stars and us They twinkle because of atmospheric refraction phenomena. As we go up in atmosphere each layer gets denser and the light coming from denser medium to rarer ( earth) the light ray bends towards the normal resulting in apparent position and physical conditions of atmosphere are not always same so sometime light enters earth and sometimes don\'t resulting in twinkling of stars. Star do not twinkle ,it apperars to be twinkle beacause of layers of different atmosphere which have have different refractive index as star light enters our earth atmosphere it get refracted again and again and it appears to be as stars are twinkling ????? It\'s difficult to write that much and i can not send image of answers on this Please check your ncert for this |
