Why does micelle formation take place when soap is added in water

Answer» When soap is added in water a cluster is formed such that the hydrophobic ends are away from the water molecules and the hydrophillic ends are towards the water molecules. This process is called micelle formation and the clusters so formed are called micelles.
Because soap solution contain hydrophobic tail which stick to oil and grease particle and hydrophillic end.
