Why does coconut oil become solid during winter season ?

Answer» Coconut oil CONTAINS saturated hydrocarbons which contain single carbon- carbon bond.
The melting point of coconut oil is ≈24⁰c.

If melting point of any substance is higher than the ROOM temperature than it exist as solid but if its melting point  is less than room temperature than it exist as liquid.

In WINTER season, room temperature will DROP down ALMOST below 20°c which is less than the melting point of coconut oil and thus coconut oil exist as solid in winter season.
