Why do some people oppose dams? Give one reason. |

Answer» some people oppose dams because while creating a dam has huge flooding in a large area and if there is a civilization over that then the people have to be shifted to an another area so they will have too much of problems so that\'s why some people in the welfare of that is slums in opposing of the construction of dams. They release greenhouse gases, destroy carbon sinks in wetlands and oceans, deprive ecosystems of nutrients, destroy habitats, increase sea levels, waste water and displace poor communities. |
