Answer» Heeralal, the driver, first offered a silken blouse (frock) for the child, then a sari to Lakshmi. He also gave her a packet of delicious halwa to persuade her and take some liberty with her. Lakshmi was confused whether to take it to the mistress or to tear it into shreds. As she looked at the pink sari and touched the cloth she threw it on the ground and stamped on it. She also threw the packet of delicious halwa. हीरालाल ड्राईवर ने पहले तो लक्ष्मी की उसकी बच्ची के लिये एक रेशमी फ्रॉक दिया। उसके पश्चात् उसे एक साड़ी दी। उसने उसे स्वादिष्ट हलवे का पैकेट भी दिया उसे फाँसने और उसके साथ कुछ खुला समय बिताने के लिये। लक्ष्मी अनिश्चितता में थी कि क्या इन वस्तुओं को मालकिन के पास ले जाये या फाड़ कर तार-तार कर दे। जैसे उसने गुलाबी साड़ी को देखा और उसके कपड़े को स्पर्श किया तो उसने उसे जमीन पर फेंक दिया और पैर से कुचल दिया। उसने स्वादिष्ट हलवे के पैकिट को भी फेंक दिया। |
