Why DC current is not used for households purposes? |
| Answer» The reason we use AC current in our homes is because AC can travel longer distances over the electrical grid (sometimes called stepping up the current)and the current changes polarity by cycles. Although DC could be used, it would require more infrastructure to provide electricity to every home.so they are not used for household purposes | |
