Why cell wall becomes impermeable for water

It happens because of "lignin." Lignin is part of the CELL WALL that deposits the cell walls of many plants. It provides support and water RESISTANCE so that the pressure remains INTACT within the cells of the plant. The cell needs water to survive and the cell wall is what protects it from viruses that COULD get in the cell and kill the cell or infect it and make the person sick. The cell gets water in the cell by using the Lignin which helps get water into the cell.
