why aurangab didn't married?? |
|
Answer» Aurangazeb was hardcore believer of Islam. He, as per, the Quaranic dictates, married four wives. His first wife wasDilras banu Begam, daughter of Shahnawaz Khan. He married her on 08th May 1637, at Agra. She died on 08th Oct 1657. She is buried at Aurangabad. A replica of Tajmahal, built in Sandstone,“ Bibi- Ka- Maqbara”is built in her memory by her son Mohammad Akbar. As she had Persian ancestry, She is believed to have bossed over the emperor who was known to be bit scared of her. The second wasRahmatunnisa or Nawab Bai.She was the daughter of local King from Rajouri in present Jammu & Kashmir. She was Rajput by birth . She also lived in Aurangabad for long time. She built one public guest house near Ajanta. She died in Delhi in 1691. Third wasAurangabadi Mahal. When Aurangazeb was engaged in 25 years war with Maratha’s, he left Delhi, in 1682 and never returned to Delhi till his death in 1707. She was named as Aurangabadi Mahal begum she married the emperor at Aurangabad. She died when the emperor was on military mission to Bijapur. She died of deadly plague that erupted in royal camp. The fourth wife wasUdaipuri Mahal. She was mother ofKambaksh. She was much junior in the age. It is said that she was a Georgian mistress in harem of prince Dara Shikoh. She exercised great influence on Emperor till his death. She was said to be so beautiful that the Emperor, had to tolerate the mischief of Kambaksh because of her. She was also said to be heavy boozer, yet she was tolerated by Emperor as she cared a lot for him in his olden days. In addition to the four women, the Emperor was bitten by beauty of another woman calledHirabai alias Zainabadi. She was a dancer. While the Emperor was once at Burhanpur, she saw her without veil, plucking mangoes. Auragazeb fell in love with her too and there is romantic angle to that story which Bollywood may pick up. |
