Due to the karyoplasmic (nucleus/ cytoplasm) ratio HIGHER the size of cell the metabolism rate will slow . SO in multicellular organisms it is not made from a SINGLE large cell . and rather they are made from trillions of small cells which will help in division of labour different cell for different FUNCTION .
