Why ammeter connected in series combinations and voltmeter in parallel? |
|
Answer» A voltmeter has very high resistance and if it is connected in series then it would consume all the current and an ammeter has low resistance and if it is connected in parallel then all the current would flow through the ammeter instead of the circuit.. And our very purpose for using these devices would b in vain... ??? Ammeter is connected is series because in series connection current is same and voltmeter is connected in parallel because in parallel connection potential difference is same |
