Why a milkman adds a very small amount of baking soda in a fresh milk?

Answer» Fresh milk is slightly acidic naturally. Fresh milk is made slightly alkaline by adding a little amount of baking soda so that it may not sour easily due to formation of lactic acid.
Nhi karega toh lactic acid form karega aur agar extra form ho gya toh milk kharab ho jayega , isliye to prevent this they add a little amou t of baking soda which neutralises the acid and keeps the milk ......
