In the small town of Bryngower, Andrew Manson was the most reliable doctor. He was young and skilful. He was going through a bad patch of life and was very upset. Joe Morgan was a driller by profession. A well-built and hefty looking person, he was a simpleton. He and his wife were struggling to have a baby for a long time but unfortunately his wife was being unable to give birth to a baby. This was their last chance. She had finally been able to carry the baby for nine months. The pregnancy was very complicated. So when she had her labour pains Joe Morgan immediately rushed to Andrew and waited for him anxiously. |
