Which trophic level contains more energy: a trophic level of herbivores or a trophic level of carnivores? Why? |

Answer» phic level of herbivores contain more energy. This could be explained from the TEN percent law.. acc to it only 10% of the energy passes on to the NEXT TROPHIC level...since carnivores eat herbivore only 10% of herbivores’ energy is TRANSFERRED to carnivore...and HENCE trophic level of herbivore contains more energy.Hope it helps ya:) |
