Since it is a densely populated region therefore all kinds of craftsmen and labour are easily available. Hence industries have sufficiently developed in this region. Small, medium and large industries have developed in this region. Woollen and khadi clothes, sugar production, glass, carpet production, leather products, plastic and chemical production and sports goods production industries have developed. The main industrial centres are Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Firozabad and Saharanpur, etc.
