In angiosperms, the microspore mother CELLS undergo MEIOSIS to produce tetrads of HAPLOID microspores or POLLEN grains. Each pollen grain contains vegetative CELL and a generative cell. The vegetative tube cell produces the pollen tube and the generative cell divides to form two male gametes.
