1.

When two resistors are connected in series , their effective resistance is 80ohm.when they are connected in parallel ,their effective resistance is 20ohm .What are the valueof the two resistances?? (please give me fast ans i will follow u and mark as barnlist) please please please please please please please please please please

Answer» ONG>Explanation:

R1=40ohms

R2=40 ohms

According to the QUESTION,

Rs=R1+R2=80ohms(In series)

therefore, R1=80-R2

Rp=1/R1+1/R2=20ohms

=} R1×R2=20(R1+R2)

(80-R2)×R2=20(80-R2+R2)

80R2^2-R2=1600

R2^2-80R2-1600=0

(R2-40) (R2-40)-1600=0

Therefore,

R2=40ohm

by R2 we GET R1 as,

40 ohms

Hope it helps....
