When polynomial f(x) is divided by (x-1) & (x-2) it leaves remainder 5 & 7 respectively. What's the remainder when f(x) is divided by (x-1)(x-2)?

Answer»

From gvn F(X) is a linear POLYNOMIAL,
and (x-1)(x-2) > f(x)
so f(x) is the remainder
here f(x)= 2x+3 (by using remainder theorem)
