Answer» n :-What will be k.E of a body when it reaches at its maximum height ?Answer :-The KINETIC energy will be zero .Reasons :-As a body is thrown upwards , the potential energy of the body starts increasing as it GAINS a CERTAIN amount of height.Infact potential energy increases with increase in height since it is directly proportional to height.The total mechanical energy is however conserved.Thus the kinetic energy has to decrease.K + U is always constant.When the body reaches maximum height , the value of U is maximum and hence here K is minimum and is equal to zero.Also at the maximum height the velocity becomes zero for a moment before it again FALLS BACK to the Earth.Therefore kinetic energy is zero at the maximum height . |
