What were the drawbacks of Newlands law of octaves? |

Answer» Thanks all? 1)it was found later that law of octaves was applicable only upto calcium .after that every eighth element didi not posses properties similar to first2)Newlands assumed that no new elements would discovered in future.actually new elements were discovered which did not fit into Newlands table It was applicable up to calciumHe thought that only 56 element will exist In future so he don\'t leave the spaceHe adjusted 2 element in same slot which were not similar No prblm ji Thanks Anushika Thanks Ishan bhai..?? It was applicable upto calcium.....2.no new elemenrs were discovered ...this was predicted by him and not fitted in newlands law of octaves..........3.two elements in same slot with unlike properties...i.e.Cobalt and nickel Can cope up only till Ca.. 2. Only on lighter elements.. 3. Put some elemnets not according to properties..4. Put Teo in same block..4. Accoding to him only 56 elements existed but later on new identification put problems to his theory Koi batao yr Anyone? |
