John Gresham offered him a large amount only to keep quiet or to say “I do not remember.” Robert refused to take the amount. This whole incident was told by John Gresham to Mr. Marshall. He was very impressed with his honesty. Robert was Jobless. At that time Mr. Marshall visited his house to offer him a job.
