| Answer» The main objective of the National Assembly in France while drafting the constitution was to limit the powers of the monarch. The powers were no longer concentrated in the hands of a single person, instead they were distributed between the legislature, executive and judiciary. It made France a constitutional monarchy.In this way it fulfilled the basic precepts of the revolution which were the adoption of constitutionality and establishment of popular sovereignty. | |
