What's the difference b/w electromagnet and solenoid |
Answer» holla dued , your answer is below :____________________________________________ Electromagnet :: it is a ELECTRICALLY induced magnet , it is a core of magnetic material { such as iron}surrounded by a coil of wire through which an electric current is passed .it is stronger than a solenoid . also the poles can even be reversed , by reversing the flow of current. basically electromagnet is current FLOWING in a solenoid .__________________________________________ Solenoid :: it is a cylindrical coil of wire acting as a magnet when carrying an electric current . it is a soft iron core . diameter is small as compared to length . when an electric current flows through a solenoid it generates magnetic field similar to that of Bar magnet. it is basically a single wire wrapped to a coil.____________________________________________ Hope it helps you ✌ |
