Answer» Although initially surprised, Philip recovers and asks to speak to Rosemary alone in the library. Philip conveys his disapproval when Rosemary resists dismissing Miss Smith. Philip tries another more successful tactic. He says to Rosemary that Miss Smith is very pretty.
