What is the role of animal husbandry in human welfare? Explain with examples.

Animal husbandry is the agricultural practice of breeding and raising livestock. As such it is vital skill for farmers and is as much science as it is art. It deals with the care and breeding of livestock like buffaloes, cows, pigs, horses, cattle, ship camels goat etc that are useful to humans. It also includes farming and fisheries. Since time, animals like bees, silkworm, prawns, crabs, fishes, birds, pigs, cattle, sheep and camels have been used by human for products like milk, eggs, meat, wool, silk, honey, etc. Breeding of animals is also an important aspects of animals husbandry which aims at increasing the yield of animals and improving the desirable qualities of the produce.
