We should not make value judgements on the basis of money ,wealth and possessions. Wanda, a polish girl in the story, is mocked at for poverty, for of dressing and even her lengthy and funny name. No one realizes that she is a talented and skillful girl. No wonder, everyone is surprised when she wins a drawing and colour contest in her school. Not to discriminate against the foreigns as wanda petronski was by her classmates being from poland and commonly called as poles. |
