The function of receptors is to defect information form the environment. If receptors donot work properly, the information obtained form the environment will be delayed to reachthe spinal cord or brain. In this situation, the response to the environmental stimulus will bedelayed causing harm to the body. receptors are those cells or group of cells that are present in sense organs sensitive to a particular type of stimuli.if receptors will not work then the sense organs.can\'t able to detect the stimuli Receptors receive information or stimulus and transfer it to the brain .if they do not work properly we cannot sense any change around us or receive any stimulus.
