Difference between mass and weight are-

  • Mass is the amount of matter contain in the body.Weight is the force equal to the gravitational pull exerted by the planet.
  • Mass is a constant quantity and does not change with respect to position or place. Weight is variable quantity and changes with the change ine acceleration due to gravity of a place.
  • Mass of a body can never be zero. Weight of the body can be zero during free fall.
  • Mass is measured by USING a PHYSICAL BALANCE. Weight is measured by using a SPRING balance.
