What is the difference between anhydrous & fused calcium chloride

Answer»

Anhydrous and Fused : In theory no difference- both are CACL2. However in practice fused is SOLD with a HIGHER moisture content .
Fused CaCl2 is just the hydrate heated up to expel water - this gives the "anhydrous" form. in practice as this so DELIQUESCENT- it takes up moisture.
