Its functions are 1)it provides glucose and oxygen from mother\'s blood to the foetus.2)it also takes urea and co2 from foetus to mother\'s blood through umbilical cord Placentai s a disc shaped tissue which has villi on the embroyal side and blood spaces on the maternal side.#it helps in taking out waste products from the embroyal side#it helps in making a passage for the food to enter into the embryo It is not an organ brother It is a disc like structure embedded on the uterine wall.It transfers the proteins and nourishment to the embryo from the mother\'s body and excreted the waste products from offspring through a tube It takes blood from mother to embryo which provides nutrition...
