What is physical quantity to prove volt/meter=Newton/coulomb?

Answer»

> Equivalent to N/C As we know that VOLTAGE is equal to the work DONE on per unit charge so V= W/q ....now the S.I unit of work is Joule, its denoted by J and the unit of charge is coulomb, its denoted by C. so ..... V= W/q ==> J/C.......(i) where as......... W= F.d   ====> S.I unit is  ( N.m )  putt in eq;( i) and   in terms of unit of the Electric field  E=V/m .......(II).  COMPARE eq; (i) and (ii) as N .m/C.m ===> N/C. hence proved that the both units are the same physical quantity which is Electric Field (E).hope it helps you
