Fresh milk has a pH of 6.7 whereas cow’s milk has a Ph between 6.4 and 6.8When milk changes into curd (yogurt), its pH value decreases. This\xa0is because, during curd formation, Lactic acid is produced which make it acidic. pH of curd is between 4.5 to 5.5. You can observe that curd pH level are lower than that of milk because of generation of Latic acid in curd.
