Example Litmus paper , Blue litmus turns red in presence of ACID and red litmus turns blue in presence of a base. USE-->> It is us to detect the nature of substance i.e. acidic basic or neutral METHYL ORANGE: Orange colour of it turns pink in presence of an acid and it turns yellow due to a base.
