What is meant by reversible process |

Answer» A reversible process is a process which can be reversed in infinitesimally smaller steps. Hmm, SOUNDS difficult.so here is the easy explanation IMAGINE a container and you have filled a gas in it. now place a plate over the container as you will do it the gas will try to rise up. So what we did we kept some small weights on the plate to prevent the gas from RISING now remove one of the weight as SOON as you will did this the plate will rise to some extent. Now place the weight again, the plate will be pressed as it was in the starting. so this an EXPERIMENTAL example of reversible process.Thank you |
