What is lactic acid fermemtation |
|
Answer» tion:Lactic ACID fermentation is a metabolic process by which GLUCOSE and other six-carbon sugars (also, disaccharides of six-carbon sugars, e.g. sucrose or lactose) are converted into cellular energy and the metabolite lactate, which is lactic acid in solution. OR the process by which our muscle cells deal with pyruvate during anaerobic RESPIRATION. When our cells need energy, they BREAK down simple molecules like glucose. The process for BREAKING down glucose anaerobically is called glycolysis.Hope it helped you... |
