What is Heron’s Formula? Why is it used for?

Answer»

\mathit{\underline{\large{Heron's\:\: <klux>FORMULA</klux>:}}}

This formula is used for calculating Area of triangle with different SIDES

the name Heron's TAKEN from the name :\mathit{\underline{ Hero \:\:of \:\:Alexandria}}.

Now, the Heron's formula is:- \mathit{\boxed{\boxed{area \:\: of \:\: triangle = \sqrt{S(S - a)(S - b)(S - c)}}}}

where, a , b , c are the sides of the triangle

And " S " is semi - perimeter

for finding the VALUA of

S = (a + b + c)/2

it's unit is cm² , m²

Hope this help you
