Answer» An earth wire is a green color wire which is used as a safety wire . If the live wire of any appliance touches an electric conducting body of any object so as to neutralize it\'s effect a live wire is used and we do not come in contact with any current. Earth wire has 0 potential , if because of any reason live wire opens and it received contact with appliances then these appliances will also conduct electricity .If we contacted our appliances we can receive fatal shock.So for safety we connect an earth wire so that large amount of current flow through earth wire and we do not receive any shock . |
