What is double circulation of blood? |
|
Answer» In a Double circulation ,the blood flows through the heart twice. The deoxygenated blood and the oxygenated blood are kept separately. Here the blood which is deoxygenated flows through the right artrium and right ventricle into the lungs which completes one circulation and then when the blood is oxygenated it returns to the heart flowing through the left atrium and then left ventricle and then to all parts of the body through the Aorta which completes the second circulation. In double circulation, blood flows twice through the heart, during each cycle of passage through the body. Double circulation is important to keep the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood separate from each other in the body and prevent their mixing. Such separation allows a highly efficient supply of oxygen to the body..... |
