Answer» Biomass is the plant and animal remains which are used in the preparation of biogas in biogas plants . It is popularly known as gobar gas in India. It is a non conventional and eco friendly source of energy. The biogas evolved by biomass can be used for various domestic purposes.Biomass is the fuel developed from natural and organic materials or wastes, which are renewable and sustainable source of energy. The energy obtained frm the decomposition of plant and animal waste and left over crop on harvesting by microorganisms in the absence of oxygen is known as biomass energy... It is renewable bcoz they r obtained from plants and animals which can be produced again and again. Biomass are those substances which are obtained by plants and animals and also from their excreta .E.g.--------wood, animal dung, agricultural wastes etc |
