1.	What is algal bloom? What are its harmful effects?
Answer» Chemical waste contain nitrates and phosphates which mix with water bodies and ponds. They act as nutrients for algae to flourish and as results in lot of algae growing in them. This incident is algal bloom. Then algae use lot of oxygen in the water body. This results in a decrease in the oxygen level which may kill aquatic organisms.
