Answer» From 1850 onwards, machine based industries had begun to set up in India. The biggest industry was the spinning and weaving of textiles. The jute industry also developed during this peirod. The greatest example of the achievements of Indian industrialists was the setting up of a steel factory at Jamshedpur in 1907.
