What happened to coffincient of friction ,when weight of body is doubled

Answer» ONG>Answer:

The coefficient of friction DEPENDS on the factors such as nature of the materials in contact, condition of the surface. It is mathematically equal to the ratio of frictional force and normal reaction. As the WEIGHT of the body is doubled, then both normal reaction and frictional force and normal reaction GETS doubles so that coefficient of friction remains constant.
