Answer» VECTOR will MAKE an angle with the direction. so a part EFFECT of vector must be in the direction .(it MAY or may not be zero but it is). so calculating the part effect of vector in the direction ,that is vcos theta,where theta is the angle from direction, is known as projection of vector. as in IMAGE it is vcosπ/3=v√3/2
