Answer» n Lassaigne’s solution, Ferric CHLORIDE (FeCl3) reacts with Sodium thiocyanate to GIVE Ferric thiocyanate [Fe(CNS)3] which is blood red.The test is usually USED as a confirmatory test for organic compounds containing NITROGEN and Sulfur Compounds(essential amino acids).
