Answer» Hermaphrodites are organisms that possess both the male and female sex organs. Most invertebrates are hermaphrodites. It is a normal condition among this group of organisms enabling them to undergo a form of sexual reproduction where the partner can act either as 'male' or 'female'. Examples of such organisms are earthworm, leech and slugs. Interestingly, most plants are hermaphrodites too. |
