Answer» Hola!!! ☺ _____________________________ # Lab activity on Find the limiting force that can be borne by a string _____________________________ here is your answer ☺ _____________________________ LAB ACTIVITY AIM:- To find the limiting force that can be Borne by a string. MATERIALS REQUIRED:- string balance, weights, light strings, weight HANGER. PROCEDURE:- Arrange the system as shown in the figure but some small weights like 50 gram on the weight hanger I know the readings of the spring balance. Now, add some more ways to the Hanger and know the readings of the spring balance. do the same tell the string is broken. no the reading of the balance in the following table when the string is broken. TABLE:- S.NO | TYPE OF STRING | LIMITING FORCE 1. COPPER. 15 N 2. ZINC. 12 N 3. ALUMINIUM. 8 N OBSERVATION:- The limiting force of copper is 15 N, zinc is 12 N and Aluminium is 8 N . CONCLUSION:- The different strings have difference in their limiting forces values. see the attachment for diagram _______________________________ hope it helps you ☺ _______________________________ thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity ☺ ______________________________ REGARDS ☺ PIPI ☺ LEADER OF BRAINLY STARS ☺ Explanation: By performing an activity:1. Take a spring balance and HANG to horizontal rod.2. take a light string for which the breaking strength to be found.3. one end of the string is attached to the spring balance and the other end is attached to a weight hanger.4. Put some small weights like 50gms on the weight hanger and note the readings of the spring balance.5. Now add little weight to the hanger and note the readings of the spring balance.6. Do the same until the string is broken.7. Note the reading of the balance when string is broken.8. The reading gives the limiting force that can be born by thread |
