Answer» F1 generation contained all TALL plants when the two plants one with tall character and other with dwarf trait UNDERWENT cross pollination . When F1 generation underwent self pollination the trait they was unexpressed in F1 generation (dwarf) was OBSERVED in F2 progeny . So the ratio of tall plants : dwarf plant were in the ratio 3:1in the F2 progeny . The above experiment INDICTED that although both the traits of tallness and dwarf ness were INHERITED in F1 plants only the dominant (tallness ) trait was expressed. This shows that traits might be dominant or recessive and they may not show up in an individual but are passed on to the next generation . |
