What are synthetic detergents

Answer» Synthetic detergents are used for cleansing purposes and have wetting and emulsifying properties. They have structures different from soaps. They are similar to soaps in a way such that they are composed of molecules having water soluble and oil soluble ends.Examples: (i) Sodium lauryl sulphate and (ii) Sodium n-dodecyl sulphate.
